Lewandowski calls transition to Barcelona "perfect step in life"
Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has said that moving to the Catalan club from Bayern Munich was the best decision.
“I have been at the highest level for many years. The transition was not easy. I spent eight years at Bayern. But for me and my family, it was the perfect next step in my life and career. We worked hard to make it happen, it was the best decision,” Marca quotes Lewandowski as saying.
In the last season of the German Bundesliga, Lewandowski scored 35 goals and became the top scorer in the tournament. In the Champions League, Bayern Munich flew out in the quarterfinals from the Spanish Villarreal (1:2 on aggregate).
The contract agreement of the Polish striker with Bayern was calculated until the summer of 2023 and the new contract with the Spanish club expires in 2026.
