Media: Russian missile reportedly hits Ukrainian pilots during award ceremony
A Russian missile strike reportedly targeted Ukrainian servicemen assembled for an award ceremony, resulting in multiple casualties.
The incident was reported by journalist Dmytro Sviatnenko, who said that among those killed was his brother, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
Sviatnenko wrote that on November 1, military personnel — including “the brigade’s best pilots and infantrymen” — had been gathered in an open area by official order for the ceremony when a ballistic missile struck the site.
“They gathered the best — the brigade’s best pilots and infantrymen. By official order. In an open area. A ballistic missile arrived. The story of negligence (or perhaps not negligence) repeated itself,” Sviatnenko wrote, expressing frustration over the circumstances of the tragedy.
