Messi praises team effort following Argentina’s triumph over Jordan

Argentina’s star Lionel Messi has reacted to his team’s victory over Jordan in the final round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage.

Following Argentina’s 3–1 win, the team captain shared a message on social media.

“Another victory to close out the group stage. We keep moving forward together...” Messi wrote.

The 39-year-old forward entered the match in the 60th minute and scored 20 minutes later with a precise free-kick, sealing the final score.

After three group-stage matches, Messi leads the race for the tournament’s Golden Boot with six goals.

Argentina will face Cape Verde in the Round of 32 on July 4, where Messi will have another opportunity to add to his tally.
