Military cargo to Karabakh: Armenia, Russia and diplomatic smuggling route PHOTO/VIDEO

New evidence has surfaced revealing the covert transfer of military supplies from Russia to Karabakh, facilitated through diplomatic channels by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

These military goods, produced specifically for the Armenian Armed Forces, were transported from Russia to Armenia, and subsequently into the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, all under the guise of diplomatic cargo, Caliber.Az reports via APA.

The shipments were processed at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport by CJSC Domodedovo Cargo and flown directly to Yerevan, Armenia’s capital. These goods bypassed customs inspections, which would typically be required for such shipments, due to their diplomatic status.

The true nature of these cargoes came to light following a local anti-terrorist operation in 2023, during which remnants of these military products, including packaging, were discovered in warehouses associated with the Armenian armed forces' occupation forces in Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly. Notably, the markings on some of the parcels identified the cargo as consisting solely of winter jackets, with 195 boxes containing only that single item. This raises the question: what other types of military equipment were included in broader shipments?

The shipments are believed to have been transported to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan starting from the summer of 2020, following the Tovuz battles. This continued during the 44-day war and in the period after the signing of the trilateral ceasefire agreement on November 9, 2020. These military goods were delivered into the responsibility zone of the Russian Federation's peacekeeping contingent, which had established numerous checkpoints across Karabakh.

It is important to highlight that diplomatic channels were used to quickly supply the contingent of the Armenian Armed Forces (illegally operating armed groups), with the Russian Federation acting as an intermediary.
