Mine blast kills shepherd in Karabakh

Rashad Bakhtiyarov (born in 1982) was blown up by a line on the territory of the village of Chemenli in the Aghdam region of Azerbaijan.

As a result, a sheperd died from a mine explosion, having received numerous shrapnel wounds, Caliber.Az quotes the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan as saying.

A criminal case has been opened by the Aghdam District Prosecutor's Office in connection with this incident.

According to data released by Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), 341 anti-personnel, 482 anti-tank landmines, as well as 673 unexploded ordnance were unearthed and neutralized in the Tartar, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Shusha, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan regions from April 1 through 30.
