Moscow, Ankara in talks to replace foreign brands leaving Russia with Turkish goods
Chairman of the Russian Council of Shopping Centres (RSTC) Dmitry Moskalenko has said that Moscow and Ankara are entering a new phase of negotiations on replacing brands that have left Russia with Turkish ones.
"We predict that this fall the total area of 3 million square meters in the retail sector, which is equal to 420 football fields, will be free. For Turkish brands that are not yet in Russia, we have offered the opportunity to occupy the best shopping centres, starting from Moscow," Turkiye's Hurriyet newspaper quotes him as saying.
Moskalenko added that RSTC is negotiating for Turkish companies to stay in Russia for a long time and make profitable investments.
He stressed that Russian consumers are very warmly accepting brands from Turkiye.
