New Turkish military attaché meets Azerbaijani defence chief to enhance ties
Major General Gaffar Gören, the newly appointed Turkish military attaché to Azerbaijan, was introduced to Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov.
Colonel General Hasanov extended a warm welcome to General Gören, congratulating him on his new role, Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
He emphasized the strong bond between the leaders of the two allied nations and its positive impact on the expansion of bilateral military cooperation and other areas. Colonel General Hasanov highlighted that Azerbaijani-Turkish relations are grounded in friendship, brotherhood, and a strategic alliance.
The Defence Minister wished General Gören success in his efforts to further strengthen military collaboration between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
In response, Major General Gören expressed gratitude for the warm reception and affirmed his commitment to advancing military cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting, which also included Major General Soner Oruçoğlu, who recently concluded his tenure as military attaché, featured a comprehensive discussion on new opportunities for collaboration in military, military-technical, and military-educational fields, as well as other mutual interests.
