No admission into NATO during wartime Poland's interior minister says on Ukraine’s membership

Poland’s Interior Minister Tomasz Siemoniak has stated that Ukraine will not be admitted to NATO while the war is ongoing, as he was interviewed by Polskie Radio.

"The leaders of Ukraine are realists and understand that a country that is at war and under attack will not be admitted to NATO," Siemoniak said.

According to him, the NATO summit on July 9-10 will only offer Ukraine a "perspective" on membership in the Alliance.
