07 May 2026 19:07

Ukrainian forces have carried out a series of strikes against multiple Russian military targets, including a small missile ship of the Project 22800 Karakurt class near the naval base of Kaspiysk in Russia’s Dagestan region, according to the Ukrainian General Staff.

In a statement posted on Telegram, the General Staff said that “on the night of 7 May 2026, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine struck several important Russian military assets.”

It said a multi-purpose small missile ship, capable of carrying and launching Kalibr cruise missiles, was hit in the Kaspiysk base area. “The extent of the damage is being clarified,” the statement added.

The Ukrainian military also reported strikes on a Russian command post in Serebrianka in the Luhansk region and another facility near the settlement of Yasne in the Donetsk region.

Additional targets included an ammunition depot in Kalmykovka and a fuel and lubricants storage site near Smolianynove in the Luhansk region, according to the statement.

Ukrainian forces further claimed attacks on concentrations of Russian personnel in villages, including Dersove in the Donetsk region and Smile in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Russia has not yet publicly confirmed the reported strikes.
