No Putin-Erdogan meeting scheduled, Russian spokesman says
Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet scheduled a conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"So far in the schedule of the president there is no such conversation," Peskov said, Gazeta.ru reports.
The Kremlin spokesman indicated that if necessary, such talks will be organised.
On July 13, a representative of Türkiye's ruling Justice and Development Party, Omer Celik, said that President Tayyip Erdogan plans to hold talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin before the grain deal expires.
On July 12, Erdogan said at a press conference in Vilnius following the North Atlantic Alliance summit that he expected to meet with the Russian leader in August to discuss, among other things, the situation with the transfer of Azov commanders to Ukraine.
