Organisation of Turkic States’ ministers gather in Bishkek for talks on ICT development PHOTO
The 5th meeting of ministers responsible for ICT of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) member states was held in Bishkek.
Within the framework of the meeting, issues related to the development of digital infrastructure, cybersecurity and e-government were discussed in detail, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Digital Development and Transportation.
Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transportation Samir Mammadov, who took part in the event, noted that digital transformation is one of the priority issues on the agenda of the Azerbaijani government.
He informed the participants of the meeting in detail about innovations in our country, the work carried out within the Onlayn Azərbaycan project to create a modern broadband network with GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networks) technology, the construction of "smart" cities and villages in the territories liberated from occupation, the work carried out in the field of e-government, electronic signature, government cloud and cyber security.
As a result of the meeting, a joint declaration of the OTS member states on the development of the ICT sphere was adopted.
