Azerbaijan explores cooperation with Danish wind energy company
Azerbaijan has discussed joint projects with Danish company Vestas Wind Systems A/S, including prospects for localising wind turbine production.
In a post on X, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said a videoconference meeting was held with Morten Dyrholm, Senior Vice President for Marketing, Communications, Sustainability, and Public Affairs at Vestas Wind Systems A/S.

“During the meeting, we discussed opportunities for cooperation in transforming Azerbaijan into a regional hub for the export of green electricity,” the minister noted.
He added that the sides also reviewed prospects for joint projects, wind energy exports under the “Green Energy Corridor” initiative, as well as the localisation of wind turbine manufacturing.
