28 April 2026 16:12

Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at strengthening collaboration in the field of state social insurance, officials announced during the 14th Kazakhstan International Conference on Occupational Health and Safety.

The agreement establishes a framework for closer ties between the two countries’ social protection institutions, focusing on the exchange of expertise and practical experience in social security systems, Caliber.Az reports per Kazakh media.

Marat Zhanibekov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan’s State Social Insurance Fund, said the memorandum lays the groundwork for structured, long-term bilateral cooperation. This will include regular sharing of best practices between government bodies and joint engagement on international platforms related to social protection.

The document was signed between Azerbaijan’s State Social Protection Fund and Kazakhstan’s State Social Insurance Fund. According to Zhanibekov, the memorandum has completed all required approval procedures on Azerbaijan’s side, including a review by the presidential administration.
