Paris continues to share intelligence with Kyiv amid Washington's suspension
French Armed Forces Minister Sebastien Lecornu has said that France continues to provide intelligence information to Ukraine after the US stopped this operation.
"We have intelligence resources that we use to help the Ukrainians," Lecornu told local radio station, Caliber.Az reports.
"Our intelligence is sovereign... with our own capacities," Lecornu said. "We are passing this on to the Ukrainians."
The United States has recently suspended intelligence sharing with Ukraine, a decision that has raised significant concerns regarding Ukraine's defense capabilities against Russian aggression. CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed that this pause in intelligence sharing followed a halt in military aid, both stemming from disputes between President Trump and President Zelensky over a joint investment in rare minerals.
This suspension is particularly alarming given Ukraine's heavy reliance on U.S. intelligence for its military operations. The lack of critical data hampers Ukraine's ability to effectively target Russian forces, potentially leading to increased civilian casualties.
