Pashinyan: Only peace in South Caucasus can ensure Armenia's security
Only comprehensive peace in the South Caucasus can ensure the security of Armenia, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated on May 3 in parliament.
"The security system in our region is deformed, which means that we are facing additional security challenges. In other words, the system that was supposed to ensure stability in the region does not work with sufficient efficiency. There may be an approach that new companies should be added to that security architecture, but it does not mean that they will ensure strategic security. Armenia's security can only be ensured by a comprehensive peace," the PM said, as TASS reports.
According to him, peace in the region is possible, but it is necessary to develop parameters that would be acceptable for Armenia and its people, to show caution and flexibility.
"We will do everything for this," he added.
