Pashinyan's associate accuses opposition of serving foreign interests Warns Karabakh Armenians
Khachatur Sukiasyan, an MP from Armenia's ruling Civil Contract, has accused the opposition of prioritizing the interests of other countries and issued a caution to Karabakh Armenians who voluntarily left the region, suggesting they may risk losing their allowances if they participate in rallies.
According to Caliber.Az, Armenian media covered Sukiasyan's remarks, where he stressed the importance of Armenia being a strong, independent nation. He expressed concerns that some individuals, whether knowingly or unknowingly, serve foreign interests, either through contractual agreements or influenced by acquaintances.
Sukiasyan referenced past repercussions faced by individuals with ties to foreign countries, highlighting imprisonment, death, or loss of property under previous leadership. He warned that those who obstruct Armenia's progress may face similar consequences.
According to him, statements about "surrendering lands" to Azerbaijan are necessary to mislead the society.
In addition, he accused the opposition of hurting Karabakh Armenians by inviting them to his rally.
"They receive allowances and houses thanks to Armenian citizens and businessmen. And so far they don't have any financial problems," Sukiasyan said.
Moreover, the ruling party MP said that during the 44-day war, information was leaked "to kill Armenian soldiers" so that the incumbent government would lose the war and some political forces took advantage of it.
