PM: Georgian-American relations require reevaluation
01 June 2024 10:12
Georgian-American relations require reevaluation following significant disruptions in previous years, TASS reports quoting Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
"I cannot comprehend the rationale behind the two attempted revolutions in 2020-2021 and then in 2022. However, it is undeniable that the former US ambassador to Tbilisi contributed to significant turmoil during those years. Various issues arose, including the involvement of American-funded NGOs in advocating for governmental resignations and the formation of new governments with their participation. Hence, there is a pressing need to reassess Georgian-American relations," Kobakhidze emphasized.
