Poland scrambles fighter jets and boosts air defence as Russia massively attacks Ukraine
Russia's massive missile attack on Ukraine has forced Poland to step up its air force and put its ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems on full alert.
"Attention. Due to the intensive activity of long-range aviation of the Russian Federation, which is carrying out strikes on objects located, among others, in western Ukraine, Polish and allied aviation has begun operating in our airspace," Caliber.Az quotes the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command as saying on its X page.

The command said it activated all available forces and resources at his disposal in line with the applicable procedures.
"Pairs of fighter jets on duty were scrambled, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems reached the highest state of readiness. The steps taken are aimed at ensuring safety in areas bordering the threatened areas," the publication reads.
The command added that it is monitoring the current situation, and its subordinate forces and resources remain in full readiness for immediate response.”
