Polish MFA calls for EU defence industry to go into "crisis mode"
The EU defence industry continues to operate in peacetime mode.
According to Kommersant, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski believes this to be the case, Kommersant reports.
According to the Minister, it should be transferred to the "crisis mode".
"We as the new Polish government have not yet fully familiarised ourselves with what we have in our warehouses and production capacities, but it seems to me that, this is my first impression, that in Poland, as in the rest of Europe, the economy, especially the military industry, is still operating in peacetime mode, and we need to raise their capabilities to crisis mode," Sikorski said at a press conference in Kyiv.
The minister called for the creation of new consortiums and enterprises so that shells, guns, vehicles and small arms ammunition could start arriving in Ukraine as soon as possible.
