President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ersin Tatar, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan, visited Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku on October 15.
Information about the Heydar Aliyev Centre, which is considered one of the unique pearls of world architecture, was presented to the high-ranking guest, Azertag reports.
It was noted that the activity of the Centre is aimed at in-depth study and research of the philosophy of statehood, the ideology of Azerbaijanism of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and the heritage of the great leader.
Here, in the Heydar Aliyev Museum, various aspects of the great leader’s activities both in Soviet times and during the years of independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan are virtually presented.
Tatar first looked at the cars that were in the official use of the great leader during the leadership of Azerbaijan - from 1969 to 2003. The guest was of great interest in the exhibits, photographs and multimedia hall, reflecting different periods of the national leader’s activity both during the Soviet era and after Azerbaijan gained state independence.
Ersin Tatar, who got acquainted with the exhibition “Pearls of Azerbaijan”, was told that it presented unique exhibits related to the inexhaustible natural resources, centuries-old history and cultural heritage of the country, here visitors can see rare examples of ancient crafts, including the Azerbaijani school of carpet weaving, and ancient national musical instruments are presented in their original – sound – form.
It was noted that visitors to the exhibition, which also displays Azerbaijani national costumes and ancient coins, can see sacred books in different languages.
After getting acquainted with ancient musical instruments, the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus visited the “Mini-Azerbaijan” exhibition, which presented models of buildings of historical and architectural significance located in Baku and the regions of Azerbaijan.
Then Ersin Tatar got acquainted with an exhibition of carpets called “Azerbaijani carpet - dance of patterns” and an exhibition of classic cars.
The visit to the Heydar Aliyev Centre left a pleasant impression on the president of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
