President Tokayev invites Italian companies to Kazakhstan
Kazakh President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev invited Italian companies to cooperate and invest in various industries, especially in the mining and energy sectors.
Tokayev began his official visit to the Italian capital Rome, Caliber.Az reported citing Kazakh media.
He held meetings with the country's President Sergio Mattarella, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.
According to Italian news agency ANSA, Tokayev and Tajani discussed investment opportunities between the two countries during the meeting at the Foreign Ministry. The parties signed 16 memorandums of understanding in various areas ranging from financial cooperation to agribusiness, from traditional and renewable energy to trade.

"Collaboration in the field of critical materials research represents a great opportunity for us. We are ready to become a supplier of critical minerals for Italy. Today, there are more than 5,000 undiscovered deposits in Kazakhstan. We already produce 19 out of 34 critical raw materials that can be useful for the economy of the European Union. We invite Italian companies to develop partnerships in this sector.The energy sector is the cornerstone of our cooperation. Our country offers great opportunities in oil and gas exploration and renewable energy," he stressed.
