Ronaldo's sister comments on Portugal's World Cup exit
Cristiano Ronaldo's sister, Katia Aveiro, has spoken about her brother's defeat in the 2022 World Cup quarter-final game against Morocco on December 10, which resulted in the exit of Portugal from the tournament.
Aveiro lauded her brother in a social media post on December 10 and said she would tell her grandchildren that Ronaldo “never gave up, even when they had already buried him", according to Express.
“When my grandchildren will ask me to talk about struggle, honour, glory, work, dedication, obstacles, human evil in exchange for envy, when they ask me to talk about trophies, goals, prizes, records of an unprecedented legacy, I'm going to talk about my brother”, she wrote on Instagram.
Her post continued, saying "I will tell them about the empire he built, I will tell them his strength, what he promised and he kept. I will tell you about his character, I will tell you that he never gave up even when they had already buried him. I will show the movie the real-life movie of their uncle. And thank god I am part of it. Part of his life…And what a beautiful life it is. So proud …He is my brother …Yes, Cristiano Ronaldo".
