Russia downs 54 Ukrainian drones overnight

Russia’s Defence Ministry says its air defences destroyed and intercepted 54 Ukrainian drones overnight across several regions of the country.

In a statement, the ministry said 18 drones were downed over the Bryansk region, eight over the Tver, two each over Oryol, Ryazan and Tula, and one each over Kursk, Kaluga and Novgorod. A further nine were intercepted over the Black Sea.

The ministry described the drones as fixed-wing aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.
