Pashinyan declares Armenia living its future today
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that the future is not a distant prospect but a reality unfolding in the present.
Pashinyan made the remarks while reflecting on the government’s guiding philosophy and Armenia’s current trajectory, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
“In 2021, the ruling political force entered the elections with the slogan ‘There is a future.’ And today, we are living in that very future — the one we spoke about. The future is no longer tomorrow,” the Prime Minister said.
“I believe it is very important that we change our perception of the future and understand that it is no longer a distant or uncertain concept. The future is our everyday life today.”
Pashinyan emphasized that the essence of his government’s ideology and policy is rooted in statehood and the state itself, which he described as central to advancing the peace agenda and ensuring the effective functioning of national institutions.
“In the past, we operated with the logic that the Republic of Armenia served as a foundation for the existence of another kind of state,” he noted.
“The ideology of Real Armenia asserts that the Republic of Armenia is, in essence, self-sufficient within its internationally recognized territory. Its mission is to guarantee the security, well-being, and happiness of its citizens. All our strategies are grounded in this logic.”
