Russia labels Greenpeace “undesirable organisation”
Russian Prosecutor General's Office has recognised the activities of the Greenpeace organisation as undesirable on the territory of the country. This was reported on the website of the department.
As Caliber.Az reports per the office’s website, based on the results of studying the materials received at its disposal, it was established that the activities of the international non-governmental non-profit organisation Greenpeace International “pose a threat to the foundations of the constitutional order and security of the Russian Federation”.
The office also pointed out that the environmental activities of Greenpeace in the Russian Federation are accompanied by the active promotion of a political position, attempts to interfere in the country's internal affairs and are aimed at undermining its economic foundations.
It is also emphasized that after the start of the “special operation” in Ukraine, the activists of the organisation began to engage in anti-Russian propaganda, calling for further economic isolation of the Russian Federation and tightening of sanctions.
