Russia slams Western countries’ actions
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has said that the international community’s plans to set a price ceiling for Russian oil are an element of psychological warfare and "will be ruined".
The actions of Western countries are contrary to the ideology of the free market, Russia’s Kommersant quotes Ryabkov as saying.
“These plans of creating an "anti-cartel" will be ruined, we will find alternatives, we will find ways to guarantee revenues to the budget. We do not see any problems. This is another element of psychological warfare, another element of a hybrid war, imagined by those who unleashed it, a war to destroy Russia,” the diplomat told reporters.
While expressing regret over the “refutation of the ideology of the free market”, Ryabkov said that the current situation demonstrates a multipolar world.
“Fortunately, not everything, including the situation in the global economy, depends on a group of these states that imagine themselves to be the arbiters of fate,” the deputy foreign minister added.
