Russia strikes Kharkiv kindergarten: One dead, several injured PHOTO / Updated
The Russian military targeted a private kindergarten in Kharkiv using three “Shahed” drones, local authorities reported, resulting in one death and multiple injuries.
According to RBC-Ukraine, the strike caused severe structural damage, with the second floor of the building collapsing.
A nearby office building was also affected, and a large fire erupted at the site. Emergency services and local authorities are actively responding to contain the situation and provide assistance to those affected.
Preliminary reports indicate six people were injured, including five municipal workers present at the scene. The confirmed fatality is a 40-year-old man. Authorities continue to evaluate the full scale of destruction and casualties.

Kharkiv came under attack by strike drones on the morning of October 22, with several explosions reported across the city, leaving multiple casualties.
According to the city’s mayor, Ihor Terekhov, the incident included a direct hit on a private kindergarten in the Kholodnogirskyi district, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, where a fire broke out following the strike.
“All children have been evacuated from the kindergarten as of 11:20,” Terekhov confirmed. “There are injured children at the site.”
Preliminary reports indicate that one person was killed and five others were wounded in the attack. The fire continues to burn at the scene.
