Russia strikes Odesa port with drones, killing one, injuring six Photo
Russia has launched massive strikes on port and railway infrastructure in the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa, killing one person and injuring six others, Ukrainian officials said.
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba said Russian forces struck one of Odesa’s ports with drones. One person was killed and six more were injured, three of them seriously, Caliber.Az reports.
“This is yet another act of terror by Russia,” he wrote on X.
According to Kuleba, the attack damaged port enterprise infrastructure, fertiliser warehouses and vehicles, including freight rail cars. A fire broke out at the site, and emergency services were working to deal with the aftermath.
The Russian army also carried out UAV strikes on railway infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast during the day. No casualties were reported there, and officials said the damage did not affect train traffic.
Earlier, late on February 12, Russian troops attacked Odesa with Shahed drones, causing explosions that led to major disruptions to electricity, water and heating supplies across the city.
