Russia to produce several dozens of Onyx supersonic missiles
Russia will produce several dozens of Onyx supersonic missiles during the year.
The contract for the production of supersonic missiles was submitted to Director General of the Scientific and Production Association of Mechanical Engineering Aleksandr Leonov during the Army-2022 forum, TASS reports, citing a source close to the Russian Defence Ministry.
The contract is for one year and is already being carried out, the report adds.
The Zelenodolsk plant has recently sent a Grad multiple rocket launcher, which can carry Onyx and Caliber missiles to Russia's Kronstadt town for testing.
Earlier, the Russian Defence Ministry purchased the latest Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missiles. The contract for the supply of missiles was signed at the Army-2022 forum.
