Russian, Kazakh security councils approve cooperation plan until 2027
Secretaries of the Security Councils of Kazakhstan and Russia Gizat Nurdauletov and Sergei Shoigu held consultations and signed a cooperation plan for 2025-2027.
“Special attention was paid to the preservation of the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War and traditional spiritual and moral values in the CIS space,” the statement said, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
According to the press service, the politicians had a conversation on regional security issues.
The topics of countering international terrorism and extremism, as well as prospects for the development of the situation in the Caspian region, were touched upon. In addition, Shoigu and Nurdauletov discussed cooperation in the military sphere.
On 2 November, President Vladimir Putin held an operational meeting with permanent members of the Security Council via videoconference. The topic of the meeting was information security.
In June, former Russian Defence Minister and current Secretary of the Security Council Sergei Shoigu reported that a very massive, well-calibrated and paid information attack was being launched against the Russian army, security agencies and its people.
Earlier, Tokayev said that strengthening the country's defence potential and increasing the military's combat readiness are among the most important tasks of the republic's authorities.
