Russian Rostov region hit by overnight drone attack from Ukrainian forces
In the early hours of September 20, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a large-scale drone attack on Russia’s Rostov region.
According to Caliber.Az, regional governor Yuri Slyusar reported on Telegram that the assault was successfully repelled by air defence units.
“In the Rostov region, air defence forces repelled a massive air attack during the night, destroying and intercepting unmanned aerial vehicles in the districts of Matveyevo-Kurgan, Kuibyshev, Millerovo, Sholokhov, Chertkov, Verkhnedonsk, Kashar and Bokovsky,” Slyusar stated.
Preliminary assessments indicated some damage on the ground in the Chertkovsky district. Dry grass caught fire near the northern outskirts of the village of Osikovo, while part of a wall at an agricultural enterprise was destroyed. Power supply disruptions were also reported.
