Russian security chief arrives in Iran on working visit

Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu left for Iran on a planned working visit on August 5.

In Tehran, he will hold talks with Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Akbar Ahmadian and Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Shoigu will be received by Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian.

The talks will discuss a wide range of bilateral cooperation and its strengthening - from the security sphere to trade and economic projects, as well as various aspects of global and regional security, the office of the Russian Security Council said.
