Senegal beats Qatar in 2022 FIFA World Cup
The match of the second round of the group stage of the World Cup 2022 between Qatar and Senegal ended at the Al Touma Stadium in Doha (Qatar).
According to Gazeta.ru, the match ended in a 3-1 victory for the Senegalese players.
In the 41st minute of the match, forward Boulaye Dia opened the scoring. Early in the second half, forward Famara Diédhiou doubled Senegal's lead. In the 78th minute, Qatar's midfielder Mohammed Muntari scored his team's first goal of the tournament and reduced the deficit to its minimum. At the end of the second half, Senegal forward Bamba Dieng scored his team's third goal to set the final score.
Thus, Senegal tied with the Netherlands and Ecuador in the Group A standings with three points. Qatar is at the bottom of the table, failing to earn any points.
