Azerbaijan’s Shahdag resort set for inaugural women’s alpine skiing competition

The Shahdag Mountain Resort, located in Azerbaijan's Gusar District, is set to host an international women’s alpine skiing tournament for the first time, marking a milestone for winter sports in the region.

The competition is being jointly organised by the Winter Sports Federation and the Shahdag Mountain Resort, Caliber.Az reports via state media.

The tournament is scheduled to begin on January 8 and will run through January 11.

The event is expected to bring together female athletes from various countries, highlighting the Resort’s growing role as a venue for international winter sports competitions.
