Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR and Uzbekistan’s Uzbekneftegaz have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop cooperation in applying artificial intelligence in the oil and gas industry.
The memorandum provides for the acquisition of AI solutions developed by SOCAR, exchange of experience and specialists, and SOCAR’s consulting services in digital transformation, digitalisation, improving production efficiency, and information technology, Caliber.Az reports, citing SOCAR.
The parties plan to develop AI-based projects aimed at increasing diesel fuel production, implementing Seismic AI and ENOM solutions to automate the analysis of geological and energy data. SOCAR will also provide consulting support for the ODLAR and Daily Drilling projects, which aim to create a unified data architecture integrating all business processes and fully digitalising and visualising seismic and drilling data.
The SOCAR-Uzbekneftegaz cooperation will not only advance innovative approaches in the energy sector but also further strengthen economic and technological partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
