Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Ghana to hold joint business forum
A business mission from Azerbaijan to Ghana is scheduled to take place from June 21 to 27, according to local media, citing the Africa-Azerbaijan Cooperation Organisation.
The program of the visit includes a trilateral business forum involving Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Ghana, as well as business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings. Participants are also expected to visit local enterprises to get acquainted with their operations.
The planned mission comes amid a decline in trade indicators between the participating countries.
According to data from the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Türkiye decreased by 5.24% year-on-year in January–April, falling by $102.165 million to $1.847 billion.
Trade between Azerbaijan and Ghana saw a sharper contraction over the same period, declining by 97%, or $278,560, to just $5,810.
Meanwhile, figures from the Turkish Exporters Assembly show that Türkiye’s exports to Ghana also fell by 2.1% year-on-year in January–April, totaling $138,576.
