WUF presidency passes from Azerbaijan to Mexico

The official handover ceremony of the World Urban Forum (WUF) presidency from Azerbaijan to Mexico has taken place during the closing stages of WUF13 in Baku.

The event marked the formal transfer of responsibilities under the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), as delegates gathered in Azerbaijan’s capital for the global urban development summit, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

During the ceremony, participants were shown a video presentation highlighting Mexico City, which will host the next forum.

The next, 14th World Urban Forum (WUF14), under the auspices of UN-Habitat, will be held in the Mexican capital in 2028.
