25 May 2026 17:18
Azerbaijan’s revenues from natural gas exports declined in the January–April period of 2026, despite an increase in export volumes, the State Customs Committee has stated.
It said Azerbaijan exported 8.416 billion cubic metres of natural gas in the first four months of 2026, up 3.1% compared to the same period in 2025, Caliber.Az reports.
However, the value of gas exports fell by 17.3% to $2.536 billion over the same period.
Natural gas accounted for 21.35% of Azerbaijan’s total exports during the reporting period, down from 34.9% in January–April 2025.
Earlier data showed that in 2025 Azerbaijan exported 25.187 billion cubic metres of gas, down 2.3% year-on-year, while export revenues rose 4.9% to $8.821 billion.
