Azerbaijan sends fertiliser, four shipments to Armenia via rail transit route
Two railway wagons carrying 126 tons of urea and one wagon carrying 67 tons of flour were dispatched from Azerbaijan to Armenia on May 28.
Two railway wagons were sent from the Bilajari railway station operated by Azerbaijan Railways, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The train is scheduled to pass through the Boyuk-Kasik station into Georgia before continuing onward to Armenia.
The latest shipment adds to a broader pattern of regional transit through Azerbaijani territory. So far, more than 28,000 tons of grain, over 4,000 tons of fertilisers, 133 tons of aluminum, and 68 tons of buckwheat have been transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan.
In addition to transit flows, Azerbaijan has also exported fuel products to Armenia. According to available data, shipments have included more than 10,000 tons of diesel fuel, 979 tons of AI-92 gasoline, and 2,955 tons of AI-95 gasoline.
