D-8 energy ministers to discuss cooperation at Baku meeting, official says
Energy ministers from the D-8 group of developing countries will discuss energy security, renewable energy sources, regional energy cooperation and sustainable development in Baku in June, Amil Hasanov, Azerbaijan’s Energy Ministry official, has stated.
Speaking at a press conference on Baku Energy Week and the TransLogistica Caspian exhibition, he said the Baku Energy Week program includes a series of high-level events aimed at strengthening regional and international cooperation in the energy sector, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Hasanov stated that this year’s gathering will convene delegates from a wide range of countries, including state officials, international organisations, and major global corporations.
He also said the forum has expanded beyond its traditional focus on energy to become a broader platform covering green energy, energy security, technological innovation, and sustainable development.
