Some 12,000 people visited liberated Shusha in 2022.

"The number of visitors to Shusha increases significantly every year. According to last year's statistics, 12,000 people visited Shusha," APA reports, citing the head of the Department of the State Reserve of the city of Shusha, Samaya Mammadova.

Mammadova herself said that Shusha, the chosen cultural capital of the Turkic world, will host many events for guests this year.

"This year there will be an innovation, which is that from March 18, the wishes of people who want to come to Shusha will be taken into account. A two-day tourist program has already been drawn up, according to which tourists will spend the night here and special programs will be organised for them," she said.

It should be noted that a group of journalists visited the historical and cultural monuments of Shusha and got acquainted with the works carried out in the city.
