Stirling Foundation blocks pro-Armenian resolutions in US Senate
Three pro-Armenian resolutions in the US Senate, which alleged ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijan in Karabakh and the destruction of Armenian religious monuments, were successfully defeated due to the concerted efforts of the Stirling Foundation.
Edward Rowe, CEO for the Stirling Foundation, highlighted the organization's crucial role in opposing these resolutions during a meeting with Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The meeting focused on the positive diplomatic efforts to counter the unfounded claims and promote a fair representation of the situation in Azerbaijan.
Rowe commended the efforts of Azerbaijan in fostering a strong environment of multiculturalism and tolerance. He praised the country's commitment to religious freedom and coexistence, underscoring how these values contribute to the broader regional stability.
Additionally, Rowe extended a formal invitation to Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade to attend the Stirling Foundation’s annual meeting in Utah as a guest of honor.
This gesture reflected the ongoing collaboration between Azerbaijan and the Stirling Foundation in promoting mutual understanding and cooperation in international affairs.
The Foundation currently works with more than 50 partners across the globe, as well as with key advisors and experts.
