Tehran: High turnout in Turkish elections shows democracy prevails

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has said a high voter turnout in the Türkiye elections is a sign that the rule of democracy has prevailed in the neighbouring Muslim nation.

“We congratulate this victory to the people of Türkiye, election organisers, and political leaders and parties, and wish them the best outcome,” Al Jazeera quotes the ministry’s spokesman Nasser Kanani as saying in a short statement.
