Transfer Talk: Manchester United back off Leao as Ronaldo's exit shifts their plans
Manchester United's interest in winger Rafael Leao seems to have cooled down as they look for a new striker instead.
According to ESPN citing a Sky sports reporter, Florian Plettenberg, the winger has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks. However, it is now believed that the group surrounding Manchester's manager Erik ten Hag have turned their attention to recruiting a striker in January after terminating the contract of football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Currently, United can only call upon Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial as their two main strikers, showcasing the lack of depth the Red Devils have upfront.
News #Leao: Been told that its not hot between him and #MUFC! The club is focused on finding a striker. The wings are well and expensively manned. @SkySportDE 🇵🇹 pic.twitter.com/vPOytlkr9v
