Triumphant Azerbaijani youth athletes return home from trampoline championship
Decorated with their newly earned medals, the Azerbaijani team has returned home from the 36th FIG Trampoline and Tumbling Gymnastics World Championships in Bulgaria.
According to Report, the youth athletes were met at Baku’s International Airport by their relatives, fans, officials and the media upon their return from Sofia on the night of November 27.
The team, made up of 12 youth athletes, has won a gold, a silver and two bronze medals at the championship.
Magsud Magsudov and Huseyn Abbasov have won the gold medal in the synchronized trampoline category among 15-16 year-olds, while Ammar Bakhshaliyev and Farkhad Mustafayev have won bronze among 11-12-year-olds.
Magsudov has also won a bronze medal in his individual performance as did Ali Niftaliyev, winning a silver medal in the 13-14 category.
