The company expressed its confidence in the progress made, stating, "We are making decisive strides towards achieving our goals, using our national engineering power. The successes we have achieved on this path continue to inspire us for the future."
The Super Şimşek, also referred to as Şimşek-3, is a 200 kg target missile capable of flying at speeds of 0.8-0.9 Mach. It is designed for electronic support and attack missions, as well as for creating false targets by distributing tasks across swarms of accompanying platforms. Furthermore, the missile can serve as a cruise missile, targeting critical installations such as air defense systems with its 35 kg warhead.
This success follows the ANKA-III’s previous test, where it successfully struck a target using the LGK-82 precision-guided bomb, developed by ASELSAN.
