Turkish Army seizes dozens of weapons from terrorists in “Pençe-Kilit” operation
As part of the “Pençe-Kilit” (Claw-Lock) anti-terror operation, dozens of weapons and ammunition were confiscated from the PKK terrorist organization.
According to Turkiye’s Ministry of National Defense, the initial aim of the anti-terror operation has successfully been completed, and the Turkish Armed Forces continue to clear the caves and shelters of terrorists one by one, Caliber.Az reports.
The Turkish military has reportedly seized 20 hand grenades, RPG-7 Multiple-Launch Rocket System (MLRS), three pieces of AK-47 assault rifles, a Dragunov sniper rifle, two magazines, a Kalashnikov machine gun, 13 pieces of RPG-7 anti-tank machine guns, 58 mortar ammunition, 9 mortar cumulative ammunition, 400 rounds of ammunition for the Dochka machine gun, as well as 13 improvised explosive devices.
Through the operations, various electronic circuit materials that are used in the manufacture of improvised explosive devices, a detonating fuse, liquid mercury, 2 oxygen tanks, 3 radio transmitters, 19 radio frequency transmitters, 1 radio receiver, a first aid kit, two heat umbrellas, and a headlamp mount were also discovered.
Turkish Armed Forces are currently conducting the “Pençe-Kilit” (Claw-Lock) anti-terror operation against the PKK militants in northern Iraq. The country’s Interior Ministry recently launched the “Eren Abluka-2” (Eren Blockade-2) anti-terror operation within the country’s borders, as well.
