The CİRİT self-propelled missile system (KMC) is an integration of CİRİT, UMTAS and L-UMTAS missiles manufactured by ROKETSAN and an armoured vehicle manufactured by FNSS. The system's target surveillance and laser marking requirements were met by the TacFLIR 380-HD electro-optical system developed by the US company TeledyneFLIR.
With the delivery of ASELFLIR-410, the domestic system developed by ASELSAN will be used in CİRİT's pedestal weapon system instead of TeledyneFLIR's TacFLIR 380-HD electro-optical system. The ASELFLIR-410 will provide CİRİT's self-propelled missile system with laser marking capability even on the move. Laser marking is crucial for CİRİT and LUMTAS laser-guided missiles.
The YALMAN/KMC weapon system can carry a maximum of 8 CİRİT missiles or 4 L-UMTAS/UMTAS/OMTAS missiles. In a mixed configuration, the KMC can operate with 4 CİRİT missiles and 2 L-UMTAS/UMTAS/OMTAS missiles.
The YALMAN / KMC weapon system developed by Roketsan has a modular structure that can be used on both land and sea-based platforms and allows the use of different munitions in the same turret. The system can utilise OMTAS, UMTAS, CİRİT and SUNGUR missiles. In addition, work continues on the integration of the 7.62mm machine gun into the weapon system.
YALMAN / KMC stands out as a special solution designed for launching guided missiles with laser and infrared imaging (IIR), with its high mobility, 360° rotation function and stabilised turret system that can be operated from inside the vehicle.
With its stabilised turret, the KMC Weapon System provides the ability to shell on the move at speeds of up to 40 km/h and offers the user a high engagement range of up to 8 km. In addition, with the mast-mounted optronic system that comes with it, it can perform reconnaissance and surveillance of the terrain up to 20 kilometres away.
