Turkish president vows to establish independent Palestinian state
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan affirmed that the creation of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state is inevitable.
Speaking after a Cabinet meeting, Erdogan stressed that such a state would be established with territorial integrity, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
The Turkish leader reiterated that his government remains committed to the creation of a Palestinian state, reinforcing his country’s stance on the issue amid ongoing regional tensions.
“We are working with a spirit of full mobilization to alleviate the hardships endured by the people of Gaza,” Erdogan declared. “Our diplomatic efforts continue, aiming to increase global pressure on Israel, and we are taking all necessary actions to open a path that will rekindle hope for peace in Gaza.”
Erdogan also responded to critics, stressing that those who expressed opposition to Türkiye's stance were individuals who lacked conscience and had not fully embraced their shared humanity. He underscored that just as patience and resilience were built in Syria after decades of oppression, justice will prevail in Palestine. “An independent, sovereign, and territorially intact Palestinian state will undoubtedly be established,” Erdogan affirmed.
Reflecting on Türkiye's political trajectory since 2002, Erdogan reiterated that his government’s goal has always been to serve humanity and deliver lasting benefits for the people. “We have never wavered from this principle,” he added, highlighting Türkiye's continued focus on achieving long-term gains for its citizens and the broader global community.
