Türkiye claims unrestricted media access in Ukrainian conflict zone
Fahrettin Altun, head of the communications department of the Turkish presidential administration, announced that Turkish journalists are able to operate freely and honestly in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict zone, thanks to Türkiye's diplomatic efforts, Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.
"Our country's diplomatic efforts and fair approach have enabled us to build trusting relationships and allow our reporters in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict zone to perform their professional duties and ensure balanced news coverage. Both sides of the conflict provide opportunities for our journalists, whom they regard as honest and reliable. These journalists can access frontline areas where media from other countries cannot," said Altun in a speech broadcast by local TV channels.
He emphasized Ankara's commitment to achieving "a just peace as soon as possible" between Russia and Ukraine, noting that both sides "trust Türkiye due to its equitable approach" to the conflict.
